Permia is a small, named team. We have been preparing and submitting Single Permit and Jobsplus Employment Licence applications for Malta employers since 2019, dealing directly with Identità and Jobsplus on their behalf.

All fees are exclusive of VAT where applicable. Applications will not be submitted until full payment is received. Government filing fees are invoiced separately at cost.

Identità Portal Creation

First-time setup of the Identità employer portal - required before any permit application can be submitted.

Self-Employed Individual First-time creation of Identità employer portal for sole traders and self-employed persons €50
Incorporated Company First-time creation of Identità employer portal for limited liability companies and other incorporated entities €75

Portal creation is a one-time fee. Required only for new employers who have never submitted a Single Permit application before.

Jobsplus Employment Licences

Separate licences issued directly by Jobsplus, required for certain employment categories. Permia manages the application on your behalf.

Secondary Employment Licence Permits a TCN already holding a Single Permit to take on additional employment with a second employer €200
Student Employment Licence Allows a TCN student enrolled in Malta to take on part-time work alongside their studies €200
Seasonal Employment Licence Short-term licence for seasonal roles (hospitality, agriculture, events). Valid for the period of employment up to 6 months €150
Traineeship / Internship Licence For TCN trainees or interns placed with a Maltese employer, where no salary above the minimum threshold is paid €120
Self-Employment Licence Required for TCNs operating as sole traders or freelancers in Malta. Includes Jobsplus registration and Identità coordination €350
Change of Employment Conditions Amendment to an existing licence where the job title, duties, or employer details change materially €150

Government Jobsplus fees are charged separately at cost and passed through with receipts. Prices above are Permia's service fee only.

⚡ January 2026 Rule Change

Malta's Single Permit rules are changing in 2026.

Applications submitted without a valid Skills Pass Certificate will be rejected.
